Port Dickson
Port Dickson, as far as I can remember, has always been the getaway choice for many since the 1970s. That was before the emergence of other tourist attractions and hotels all over the country. Even then Port Dickson's lure has never diminished and this is evident from the large crowd and atrocious traffic every weekend and public holidays. With a distance of only about 95 kilometers from Kuala Lumpur, it is therefore not surprising that many city folks continue to choose Port Dickson for their short weekend getaway.
While accommodation is never a problem here due to the large number of hotels, ranging from some of the cheapest to the upmarket ones, perhaps one of more popular hotels here is the Lexis Port Dickson (not to be mistaken with the Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson). Situated adjacent to the beach, the hotel certainly offers a great view of the sea, especially of the setting sun.
The highlight here is certainly the Balinese-inspired villas which are built on stilts and stand majestically over the water. Certainly a perfect location for honeymooners or those intending for some privacy. However, a night's stay at one of these villas will certainly set your budget back a little.
